As a person who has worked as an electrical contractor for residential home repair projects for many years, Mr. Hung (living in Tan Phu district) said that there are quite a few homeowners who know little about the quality of electrical equipment and often leave it all to the contractor. Most contractors will assign electricians to find and purchase the necessary products from familiar stores for assembly with a “hand-carried” warranty – meaning that within the time period specified in the contract, if there are minor problems that make the electrical equipment unusable, they will have the electrician repair or replace it. But if a major problem such as a fire occurs, everyone is… “helpless”!

Recently, many major fires have occurred, especially in big cities, causing great damage to people, property, and directly affecting the environment, making people more aware and proactive in protecting their families and property. Not only paying attention to product quality, consumers also thoroughly research other modern methods such as using products with fire-retardant substances, smart power-off systems to protect their homes from "fire".
In fact, some domestic electrical equipment manufacturers have invested heavily in researching and producing the best products to ensure consumer safety. The leader of Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Company said that most of Dien Quang's products are manufactured using modern Japanese technology, using North American standard LED chips and fire-resistant plastics certified by the Vietnam Green Label.
The fact that people are aware of the issue of product quality and are shifting to using electrical equipment with fire-resistant capabilities is a very encouraging sign for manufacturers who are truly concerned about the immediate interests of consumers, as well as for authorities related to the work of preventing electrical fires and explosions.
According to the General Statistics Office, by the end of September 2019, there were 2,959 fire and explosion incidents nationwide, killing 76 people, injuring 126 people, and causing property damage of more than VND 1,057 billion. What is particularly noteworthy in these statistics is that the number of fire and explosion incidents increased towards the end of the year, with 1,048 incidents in the third quarter of 2019 alone.
