On April 5, 2019, the Ho Chi Minh City Technical Center for Standards, Metrology and Quality (SMEQ) signed a cooperation agreement to select Dien Quang Lamp Company's Testing Laboratory to perform testing services according to the recognized capacity of the Vietnam Quality Accreditation Bureau (BoA) for lighting products and electrical equipment.
Along with the development of the lighting industry in Vietnam, the need for testing and evaluating product quality is increasing. As one of the units responsible for certifying product quality, SMEQ highly appreciates the capacity of Dien Quang Lamp Company's Testing Laboratory (Vilas 317). Cooperation between production units and scientific and technological organizations will help save resources and improve the efficiency of using existing facilities and infrastructure between laboratories.
In order to improve product quality testing capacity, Dien Quang has recently cooperated with TÜV SÜD ASEAN, an international organization specializing in providing independent certification services for technical and safety control. TÜV SÜDASEAN will support the development and certification of Dien Quang Testing Laboratory capacity and develop cybersecurity solutions for smart home products and other related products.
A representative of TÜV SÜD ASEAN shared: “Vietnam has a great demand for product testing and inspection, but most of the lighting and electronic products manufactured in Vietnam currently have to be sent abroad for testing. Improving the testing and inspection capacity of domestic laboratories will create initiative as well as reduce costs and time for businesses. We are very impressed with Dien Quang's system of laboratories strictly controlled according to international standards ISO/IEC 17025. These laboratories are capable of testing most indicators of safety, EMC, energy efficiency and other market requirements, especially the EU and US markets that Dien Quang is targeting.”
Dien Quang testing room system is invested with modern equipment such as: EMC electromagnetic compatibility testing system imported from Italy; integrating sphere system and LED chip foot temperature meter to control light quality, optical - electrical parameters; product durability testing system in different simulated environments such as: IK 06-10 impact tester, lightning protection testing equipment, light flicker testing equipment (Flicker) according to European standards, discharge durability testing machine according to IEC, UL standards... In particular, Dien Quang is currently the first unit in Vietnam capable of building a photometric data set of luminaires to serve lighting design through a darkroom system and Gonio-photo-meter equipment.
In the second quarter of 2019, Dien Quang will also put into operation the Dien Quang High-Tech Factory and a modern R&D and Testing center in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park. The project has an investment of nearly 600 billion VND. With in-depth and methodical investment, Dien Quang hopes to contribute to improving people's quality of life through international quality Vietnamese branded lighting products and electrical equipment.
