On the morning of June 4, Dien Quang Group organized the program "50 years - Lighting up dreams" at Nguyen Truong To Primary School, Hoa Hoi Commune, Xuyen Moc District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.
“Lighting up the Dream” is a program organized by Dien Quang to bring light to help poor students in remote areas have more faith and determination in a bright future. When witnessing the difficult circumstances of children who do not have the conditions to study, have to drop out of school because of poor families and lack of material things; Dien Quang community initiated a charity program called “Lighting up the Dream” with the belief that “Where there is light, there are dreams”.
Lighting up Dien Quang's dreams is held annually to help disadvantaged students across the country.
The program has been taking place for many years and has gradually spread more strongly thanks to the joint efforts of Distributors, customers, benefactors, etc. across the country. “50 years – Lighting up dreams” is a special event on the development journey of Dien Quang. The program was held at Nguyen Truong To Primary School in Hoa Hoi Commune, Xuyen Moc District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The school has a total of 250 students, of which 60 – 70% are poor and ethnic minority students.
Sharing with the program, Mr. Tran Huu Quang, Head of Nguyen Truong To Primary School, said: “Most of the students here are in difficult circumstances, some have lost their parents and are living alone. Most people live by working for hire, so their income is somewhat unstable.”
Representatives of Dien Quang and distributors presented scholarships to students of Nguyen Truong To Primary School.
Listening to the sharing and witnessing the difficult life of the students here, the Organizing Committee of the program "Lighting up the Dream" decided to implement the program "50 years - Lighting up the Dream" at Nguyen Truong To Primary School, to share some of the difficulties for the students. After a month of preparation, the program "Lighting up the Dream" has received a lot of support from Distributors, partners, customers, donors, ... all over the country.
Before the program, the Organizing Committee sponsored and repaired the entire electrical system, replaced hundreds of light bulbs and fan systems, and renovated classrooms to give students a better learning space.
In the program, 250 students of Nguyen Truong To Primary School were given school bags, books, and candies; 50 students with difficult circumstances of the school received scholarships worth 500,000 VND/student. In addition, the program donated the Light Up Dreams library to create conditions for students to update more useful knowledge through each book.
Dien Quang representative awarded the Light Up Dreams scholarship in the program "50 years - Light Up Dreams".
Witnessing the scene of little feet having to walk dozens of kilometers every day in the rain and sun to get to school; the Organizing Committee decided to give each student with special difficult circumstances a bicycle to help them get to school more easily. In particular, all students were able to participate in free dental consultation and had a fun and useful day.
In particular, in the program “50 years – Light up dreams” this time, Dien Quang also launched the Light up dreams scholarship fund for children of electricians, electricians and students majoring in Electricity and Electronics nationwide; achieving excellent results in the school year or having difficult circumstances. This is not only a reward but also a way to encourage and motivate children in the learning process.
Sharing about this year's program, Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Representative of Dien Quang Group Joint Stock Company, said: "Lighting up dreams is an annual program of the company, carrying the spirit of "mutual love" of Dien Quang Community. However, to spread the program more widely and help more disadvantaged students in all regions of the country, we cannot rely on Dien Quang alone. Therefore, the cooperation of the community is extremely necessary. I feel very happy that the program has been expanded with the contribution of many distributors, partners, customers, and benefactors as it is today. Light up dreams will continue as long as Vietnam still has disadvantaged students who need help. I hope that in the future, Light up dreams will be able to spread further to reach children in remote rural areas, especially difficult places to help their unfinished dreams."
The Dien Quang Lighting Up Dreams program has become a social movement rich in humanity and the spirit of “sharing is happiness” is spreading strongly. We believe that with the joint efforts of Dien Quang and the community, there will be more and more poor, studious children across the country whose future will be nurtured and their dreams of going to school will be lit up.
